What Do I Need To Get A Bail BondAfter receiving a call from your friend or relative, or you find out they have been arrested here is what you need to know and obtain. If they call from jail, remain calm, when you talk to them, ask them the following. 1. At what jail facility are they located? 2. What is your booking Number? 3. What other names do they have you under? 4. What is your date of birth? If you don't have this information, don't worry, we can still help you. Call us immediately and we can start the bail process so your friend or family member spends as little time behind bars as necessary.
Keep in mind that most jail facilities will take time to book the individual into their system, in the mean time you will not be able to obtain information and post bail until they are fully booked. Depending on the jail, this can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 12 hours. When you are ready to post the bond you will need a few additional things. First, you will need the premium, generally 10% of the bail bond. Second, you will need a qualified Indemnitor (the Indemnitor is financially responsible for the bail bond). For most transactions, the paperwork usually takes about 20 minutes. Release time from local jails is usually under an hour. The release time from county jails varies, but is typically 4-6 hours. In some situations it can take longer. If your friend or family member was arrested by a local police department, time is critical. You can save hours of waiting and agony for the arrested party if you bail them out before they are transfered to the county jail. We have bail agents close to every local jail. Call us as soon as possible and we can get the process started immediately. We can even complete the entire transaction via phone and email or fax. 888-SOS-BAIL or 888-767-2245
