  • All inmate visits will be limited to 30 minutes.
  • Inmates are allowed one visit per day.
  • Special visits are granted with the permission of the Jail Commander or his/her Supervisor.

Visiting Regulations

All visitors will sign the inmate visiting card at the front counter.  Please bring a photo ID with a current address when signing in for visits. There are no age restriction but visitors who are 17 years or younger must be accompanied by an parent or guardian or with the permission of the Jail Commander or his designee.

The following persons will not be allowed to visit prisoners in the jail:

  • An inmate released from the Calaveras County Jail on bond or by any other means, whose case has not been adjudicated.
  • Any prisoner who has been in the Calaveras County Jail within the last 90 days.

No gifts or other items for inmates will be accepted at any time. Money may be accepted for inmates and will be placed on the inmate's account for use in the commissary. No personal checks will be accepted.
