- The North Annex Jail is located at 1265 “M” Street in Fresno. This jail can house up to 1,728 inmates.
- The South Annex Jail is located at 2280 Fresno Street in Fresno. This jail is the oldest of all the facilities and can house up to 675 inmates.
- The Main Jail is located at 1225 “M” Street in Fresno. This jail can house 1,064 inmates.
- The Satellite Facility is for inmates who are serving county time and are on work crews. This jail can hold up to 200 inmates.
Jail Visiting Visiting for inmates is held in all facilities every day from 9am to 9pm, however visiting signups end at 8:15 pm, and no visits will be signed up after that time. The visiting week schedule is from Saturday through Friday. Each inmate is allowed two, half-hour visits per week. Inmates may place up to three names on their visiting list and inmates may change these names at any time. Anyone wishing to visit an inmate must have their name on the inmate’s visiting list, and must be at least 18 years old. Children of an inmate who are under 18 do not need to be on the visiting list, but must be accompanied by an adult whose name is on the visiting list. All visitors must be able to present valid identification upon request by jail staff. Attorneys are required to remain with their inmate/client until officers return the inmate to their jail housing unit. Inmate Money InformationAnyone wishing to place money on an inmate’s account may do so by bringing a U.S. Postal Money Order, made payable in their name, to the Main Jail Lobby located at 1225 “M” Street. You may also mail the Money Order to the Fresno County Jail, P.O. Box 872, Fresno, California, 93712. Please ensure you use the inmate’s correct name they are booked under, and include the inmate’s date of birth and booking number if you know it. Personal checks, cashier's checks, cash, credit cards and money orders that were not purchased at a U.S. Post Office are not accepted and will be returned to the sender. Inmate Mail Information
The address to send mail to inmates is P.O. Box 872, Fresno, California, 93712. Please address mail with the inmate’s name as they are booked. It is also helpful to add the inmate’s date of birth and booking number if you know it. There is no limit to the amount of mail that an inmate may send or receive. All mail is inspected for contraband, and will be returned to sender if it includes anything not allowed. Items NOT allowed in mail to inmates include any sexually explicit material or photographs, postage stamps, stickers, or any item that is illegal or would cause a security risk. Photographs are allowed, however may not be a Polaroid photograph. Legally blind individuals may send and receive first-class mail through the U.S. Postal Service at no cost. www.co.fresno.ca.us
